Camping and culture in Franconia

The Main-Spessart Park campsite, one of the most beautiful camping facilities in Franconia, is in Triefenstein am Main, between the picturesque towns of Lohr and Wertheim. The attractively designed campsite has for years regularly been awarded five stars by the ADAC (German Motorists' Association), DCC (German Camping Club) and DTV (German Tourist Office) for its sanitary facilities. This exemplary site is a popular starting point for excursions and cycle tours in the Mainfranken region, into the Franconian Wine Country, into the Spessart Natural Park and to the Baroque palace of the Würzburg Residenz (UNESCO World Heritage Site). One of the best-known cycle tour routes in Germany, the Main Valley Cycle Route (Maintal Radweg), has a level stretch passing right by the campsite.
In July and August, our family-friendly camping team will delight our youngest visitors with an activity programme in German and in Dutch.
The campsite's own restaurant invites guests to indulge in Franconian cuisine. Speciality of the house: fresh fried "Schäufele" (pork shoulder).
A mere 9 km away from the site is the Wertheim Village outlet centre, inviting you to enjoy a leisurely shopping trip. Right next door, in Expocamp, the Hymer Group presents motor homes, caravans and camping accessories on a show site of about 17000 square metres.
The Main-Spessart-Park is open all the year round. Guests passing through overnight do not have to uncouple.

During June and September, our guests can book all-inclusive offers from our "Camping and Culture" programme. You pay a single price that includes camping fees, excursions, sightseeing, a wine tasting and other activities. Campers interested in culture will be taken in comfort in an air-conditioned coach or by boat to sights in Mainfranken. So you won't have to hunt for a parking spot or do without your favourite glass of beer or wine during the tour. Just enjoy your holiday and experience Franconia. These events are especially attractive for motor home drivers. A reservation is needed, as numbers are limited.
